Car Financing 101

Manufacturer’s Warranty:

  • A warranty that comes complimentary from the vehicle manufacturer. Honda’s Warranty comes with all New, Certified Pre-Owned, and HondaTrue Used Vehicles.

Vehicle Service Contract:

  • A vehicle service contract (VSC) is an agreement between a vehicle owner and a service provider that covers the cost of specified repairs and maintenance services for a specified period or mileage. These contracts are designed to offer protection against unexpected repair costs after the expiration of the original manufacturer's warranty.
  • Service contracts are a great way to include additional protection and peace of mind with your new or pre-owned vehicle purchase.
  • They offer a wide range of different level of coverage completely customizable to your own driving habits in regards to length of time, ownership, and mileage.

Powertrain Coverage Includes (But is not Limited to):

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Drive Axles (Front & Rear)
  • Seals, Gaskets, Fluids

Limited (Non-Powertrain) Coverage Includes (But is not Limited to):

  • Electronics: Computers, electronic components, electrical systems
  • Chassis: Suspension, steering systems, brake systems
  • Heating/Cooling: A/C, Heating & Cooling Systems
  • Honda Genuine Accessories: Audio & Communication Devices & Accessories, navigational & security systems

Honda New Vehicle Warranty:

  • Powertrain: 5 years/60,000 miles*
  • Limited (Non-Powertrain): 3 years/36,000 miles*

HondaTrue Certified Warranty:

  • Powertrain: 7 years/100,000 miles* (from original purchase date)
  • Limited (Non-Powertrain): Additional 1 year/12,000 miles* on top of current factory coverage

HondaTrue Certified+ Warranty:

  • Powertrain: 7 years/100,000 miles* (from original purchase date)
  • Limited (Non-Powertrain): 5 years/86,000 miles*

HondaTrue Used Warranty:

  • Powertrain and Non-Powertrain: 100 Days/5,000 miles*
*Whichever comes first
